Stalvart John down in Bangalore really exemplifies what it means to be a tasteful, new-age crate digger. He’s liberal in the way he picks his tunes, drawing from decades of electronic music, and is all to happy to experiment with sounds that are cinematic and thought-provoking or even straight-up arresting. A great example of this would be his recently launched podcast series – In A Mind Place, where he lets carefully-crafted harmony and synergy carry through the sounds of the underground dance floor. His other baby, the Odyssey series of podcasts sees him explore a whole other territory with downtempo, lounge-y tunes that consistently form soundtracks to days and nights of introspection.
